I have bought 2 bags of this this summer and have had wildly mixed results.
The first bag was great, with the charcoal lighting eventually and lasting a good time.
Flushed with success after the first bag, I bought a second.
Unfortunately the lumps of charcoal are massive and need to be broken up to more manageable pieces with a hammer to get it going.
Not only that, but a couple of the batches from the second bag have failed to light properly and I ended up having to ignite them by putting in a bag of lighting charcoal, defeating the purpose of using the loose charcoal.
When it is proper size and it lights, it is great charcoal, achieving high temperatures for a sustained period of time.
When it's in giant lumps and doesn't light, it's a waste of time.

From other reviews looks like this can vary depending on what store/batch you get.
Bought some at the w/end on the IOW and have to say was very good. Nice large lumps, lit well in a chimney starter and kept the heat. 1sec hand test straight out and 5second hand test at 45mins.
Better performing better value than the BIG-K Premium.
Not what you may think

I bought this in good faith thinking that it may be a bit better than the domestic grade but........its total c-rap!
Full of sap wood and massive chunks of tree some not even charcoal.
Very very poor quality and much overpriced considering that the Diall charcoal is much better and at now the same price.

Bought this thinking it would be better than standard charcoal. Have attempted to use it 3 times now and have not got it to burn enough to cook on. So disappointed as we have never had a problem with charcoal from B & Q before. Total waste of money.
