Overview - The crimp tool can be

used to cut, strip and crimp 8P8C (8 Pole, 8 Connector) or ‘RJ45’

connectors to CAT5, CAT5e or CAT6 networking cable. The cable strain

relief boots that are supplied are using to protect the connection after it has

been terminated. There are 7 different colours of cable strain boots available:

    Red

    Green

    Blue

    Yellow

    Black

    White

    Grey

If you would like any other colour than

    red, please contact us.

Features – The crimp tool has a razor sharp steel cutting blade

and makes cutting through cable easy. The heavy-duty vinyl grips keep the

cutters stable and predictable during use, and a handy locking mechanism keeps

everything compact and safe when the crimpers are in your toolbox.

Directions of use – The first step is to slide a cable strain relief boot down

the cable (this is done before attaching the connector). The round cable

stripper on the crimp tool allows for even cutting of insulation that

is situated around network cable without damaging the cores inside,

simply insert the cable into the round recess, squeeze the grips, and rotate

the cable 360 degrees. The insulation should now strip away easily.Having removed enough insulation, separate the coloured wires within,

and using one of the two wiring diagrams in the image above, lay the conductors

out in order and push them into a connector. Once all the conductors are

seated, squeeze the connector with the crimp tool, which will grip and

lock the wires into the connector there are plenty of guides on the

internet to help you do this process correctly.

Variants - These connectors can be fitted to CAT5, CAT5e or

CAT6 cable, using either of the industry standard TIA/EIA-568-A or

TIA/EIA-568-B wiring configurations shown above, to create ‘Straight Through’

or ‘Cross Over’ cables. These connectors can be used with stranded or solid

    core cabling.

'Cross over' cables are usually used fo
