This 3-in-1 Basecoat by Ronseal is designed to cover hairline cracks, bold colours and seals new plaster in just one coat.
- Water-based
- Suitable for Plasterboard surfaces
- Apply using a Brush, roller or spray
- Instructions for Use - Give it a really good stir. Then use a roller or brush to put it on. It’ll be touch dry in 2 hours. Extra coats may be required when making dramatic colour changes. After 4 hours it’ll be ready to paint over.

Great stuff
Was considering getting the wall replastered but used this and was not needed. Tried it also on a patch in the kitchen which no matter how many times I painted over a stain showed through. Since I put a coat of this on stain has not come back.

Perfect for covering bright colours
I moved into a house with a pink bedroom ceiling & knew that it would be very difficult to cover with white, but thankfully the basecoat worked a treat & only needed 1 coat of normal white emulsion on top of it. Amazing product!

Awful paint
Ronseal is meant to do exactly as it says on the tin. This paint is awful its thinner than the cheapest paint you can buy. It covers nothing and would need about 20 coats to cover the slightest hairline crack. Do not waste your money.
