Have previously used this product which lasted several years and was again very pleased with the outcome on my floors.
A gimmicky product!

The varnish drys too quickly and becomes very tacky before you have time to work it along the grain of the wood. The paint pad doesn't work very well and starts to disintegrate after a period of time plus the pole is unstable. Take my advice take your time and methodically apply this varnish with a good quality brush for a good result!
Ok in the end- but I expected more than just ok.

Firstly I think the packaging is poorly designed. Why have the applicator in a tub that sits in the varnish so it drips everywhere when you remove it - mad! Granted it warns you abou this on the tin , but really??!!
All prep work was carried out to the letter. Then the fun began.....
My parquet floor in the hall is a little uneven in places through wear and tear, as it has been in the house since it was built in the 50s. This presented me with some difficulty as the applicator pad couldn't cope with the changes in levels so I had to resort to my hands and knees and a brush anyway.
The first two coats went on well and the floor was looking good. Then I went out and bought the specific grade of sandpaper recommended and lightly sanded it ready for the final coat. Trust me, I am by no means heavy handed, but it left my floor really patchy - and not just on the uneven areas. I had to go round with a brush and touch up the lighter areas and then wait for that to dry before adding the final coat, adding an extra 3 hours to the job. The final outcome is ok but I think I can still see the patches, but this may just be me since I know they were there - my husband says it is fine.
As the same flooring runs from my hall through to the lounge and dining room the plan was to strip and revarnish that too. I now have the dilemma of whether to varnish it or put down a carpet. Sadly after this experience I think the carpet may win ....

If anyone could post pictures of how this looked on their floor that would be great! As it is difficult to accurately see the colour from the small square on the front of the box.
Great hard wearing varnish

I have used this exact varnish every year now for my wood floor in a busy shop and it does a great job. It looks really good when finished and wears well with a heavy traffic area. Would recommend. Pricey but worth it.
