Lot of coats needed

Painted the picket fence at the front of my house with this. Took a long time and 3 coats for them to look blue ! Next time I'll invest in decent fence paint. If you want cheap and dont mind layers it's fine
It's not a direct mountain blue replacement

I bought this to touch up old fence panels which had ronseal 'mountain blue' on them. That colour was perfect , and despite folks staying this is the replacement for that colour, it is clearly not. If you put it on bare fence panels you will get a teal coloured fence (brown wood painter with a greeny/blue paint will give you a teal colour).
The only way I found to match my existing mountain blue fences was to add black exterior paint to the ronseal midnight blue. To match my existing fences I added a 250ml tester pot of black Matt masonry paint to the 5ltr of midnight blue. That darkened the paint sufficiently to get rid of the teal tones in the paint . I don't know why they stopped making mountain blue as that colour was perfect . But I hope this helps anyone stuck with teal fence panels , of course try with a lower concentration of black paint to match your existing mountain blue fences/sheds

Applies well even on rough wood, colour is true to the tin. One coat needed will suffice but would imagine the depth of colour would be better if more coats applied.
Disappointed with color

Most disappointed that you have replaced the colour
