Ronseal have a production problem

First can was superb giving a great result after 2 coats as described. The 2nd can was totally different and very poor. This was returned and the replacement was fine. Think this explains the very different reviews on here. Ronseal need to get their act together

I bought this to stain some sleepers that border my patio, took 2 coats for a decent finish but I think the trick is to get plenty on the brush as It soaks in well! would buy again

I've just bought another tub of this paint and it's really poor compared with previous tubs. It looks grey now, and isn't covering well at all. I'm considering returning it to the store because I believe it's wrongly labelled or contains the wrong paint.
Effective product and good value for money

I have used this product on both planed timber cladding and rough sawn board with a good finish on both surfaces. The planed timber needed 4-5 coats but as the product is quick drying I was able to complete the job over a couple of days (timber clad garage). Two coats on rough timber is adequate. Water repellency matches similar products on the market. Coverage is also good although don’t be put off if the first coat looks a little thin in places.
good for Smooth Wood
