Sets too quick
Glasgow Painter - 7 months ago
Painter with 30 yrs experience.
Tried using this yesterday
Made up a very small amount as per instructions
It started drying in like 2 mins making it unworkable. Tried again changing the amount of hardener I put in. Same resultsx2
Impossible to use
LJ23 - 1 year ago
It seems to be almost impossible to get the quantity of hardener correct. First batch was hardening while I was still trying to use it (less than 5 mins after mixing) second batch has not hardened after 24 hours.
Poor value for money

I had a lot of filling to do so bought the large tin only to find that it was literally only half full of product. Very misleading and extremely dissapointing. Will not be buying again.
Works but harden too fast
Anonymous - 1 year ago
I've used this product to fill some of the gaps in my flooring woods. I found working with this stuff hard as it gets harden in a matter of few minutes so doesn't allow enough time to be shaped. when start to harden it loses its flexibility and can not be inserted into the cracks. lots of it will be wasted as a result of that. However, if you can apply it successfully, it will be as hard as metal. Make sure to clean your filling knife and remove all the remaining or else when harden, it will never get removed and you have to buy a new filling knife. Ah! one other thing is , that this product is not paintable.! it says it is , but it's not! so just make sure you get the right couture as you wish your final finishing looks like. Hope this helps.
Easily sanded
Frank the handy man - 2 years ago
I use a lot of this stuff and for internal woodwork (not exposed to the elements) it easily sands to a beautifully invisible finish. However, it is far too hard to be used for external wood repairs exposed to the elements; as timber swells and contracts with the seasons the filler is ejected. It also does not chemically bond with the timber and so cracks will reappear quite quickly. External window repairs need a flexible filler 'chemically bonded' to the timber. Additionally, it would be great if the 'working' time was longer as once it is mixed you have a very short time to use it; probably no more than 2 minutes before it is unworkable. The upside to this of course is that the filler is ready for sanding in less than 10 minutes!! In conclusion therefore, great for the 'right' job but unsuitable for external woodwork.
