Waste of time

Three weeks since I completed painting my kitchen cupboards. I used three coats and you can still see original colour when sun shines on them. Don't waste your time and money - a primer and eggshell would have been much easier. I will be buying an eggshell paint to go over them soon.
Quick transformation but not in one coat!

I bought this less than a week ago and have almost finished painting my kitchen cupboards. Had it have done it one or even two coats it would have been finished, but I have found in most cases it requires three (going from beech to black). I used a brush and small roller, but have found that you have to be really careful not to go over the same bit too many times as the paint starts to dry quickly and affects the end results. This paint appealed to me because there was no need to use a primer, but if I was to start over I would instead use a primer and eggshell as it would give a better finish. It's too early to tell if it will be hardwearing. All in all I am very happy now with the colour of my kitchen, but I would say it is impossible to get a perfect finish with this paint.

I bought this to paint some melamine wardrobe doors. I found it very difficult to get this to cover evenly, it is like trying to paint with treacle. One coat it is not. I have used International melamine paint to do similar jobs in the past with very good results but unfortunately this product is no longer available. Ronseal One Coat is no substitute. Don't waste your money. Go for a super grip primer and spray with your chosen colour.
