protective stain rather than paint

It looks so bad when you paint it on - army green with runs - looks great when it soaks into the wood - it has transformed an old fence and was so cheap. It's NOT paint, it is watery (but that's good because you want it to soak in, not sit on the surface) and works only on rough sawn (in my case very weathered) timber. Pleased enough to bother writing a review - going to buy another pot and do the bigger fence next!
Expected better from Ronseal

Very watery even when properly mixed so there are a lot of splashes. Just about good enough with one coat on already stained timber but no way would it work with one coat on new timber.
Instructions say apply liberally and you really need to.
On the up side it dries quickly and is a good, deep green but frankly I’d have expected better from Ronseal.
One coat it is Not !

Ronseal Fence life one coat.
No it is not one coat , look good.
It is cheap for a reason. You will need three coats to make it look treated.
If you put it on thick you will only get runs in treatment, Very thin treatment.
It needs three days to dry before next coat or the previous coat will come off.
It will wash off. Do not let rain water touch it even after fully dry.
This is not new improved as on tin , but same as five plus years ago.
It is water based so brush can be cleaned with clear water.
You could also wipe your treated shed with clean water and paint , treat with
some thing else after dry. Another colour change ?
Or you like treating your shed each year.

Very watery. Two coats on my fence and it still has little colour. Bought two tubs. Will be taking second tub back for refund.
See through paint

Very watery, wasn't happy with one coat on a new fence so gave it second, when doing this the fence didn't look like it had been painted at all.
Although the finish isnt too bad it certainly isn't "one coat"
Most annoying, I ran out nine boards short of the end, so now have to buy another tin.(although that's not Ronseal fault, just saying)
