Re-painting of old fence panels

Having changed some fence panels supplied in golden brown, my dirty old dark panels on the other two sides looked really bad. All needed re-painting so looked at Ronseal and Cuprinol products, opting for this one, as it had a 5 year warranty & water clean up. I did take a few days to pressure wash as much of the old colour, moss and mould off the old panels first - this is well worth doing and let them dry for a couple of days. Pressure washing opens up the grain and makes the protection soak in better also. The result matches my new panels and brightens up the whole garden. Cleaning up is simple as water soluble, no fumes or like using old creosote! We used 2 and 4" brushes for details and larger brush for the main panels. Would not recommend a roller but spraying would be quick if you can mask off the areas. The result for any one-coat product is dependent on the preparation, or the old colour will show through in places. Overall a great product and reasonably priced. What was left over did our picnic table also.

Nice colour, bright

It's ok, but you'll need at least 2 coats if painting fresh fence. It's very watery, I used a lot

Do not buy this!!!
