I almost didn’t buy this paint based on the reviews on here however I’m glad I didn’t listen to them. This was the first time I’ve painted a fence and I used a paint gun. I needed to do 2 coats to fully cover the fence so I agree that it’s not a one coat paint. My garden had 5 shades of brown fences and now looks great in all Tudor black oak. It gives it a barn like finish which is exactly what I wanted. I’d definitely recommend this paint. Don’t be put off by other reviews.
Good at first but not long lasting

Painted my fence and shed with this last year. Took 3 coats. After 3 months the shed was flaking off in several areas despite the wood being clean and sound when painted. The fence is now faded and looks in need of a repaint. Some areas where plants brush against the fence are completely devoid of colour now. I’d buy another brand next time for some tj Int more durable
This is a great product

I was going to buy a more expensive treatment, pleased I didn't . Painted to large sheds with 1 tub ,admittedly needed 3 coats due to wood being dried out but they went straight on 1 after the other
Need 2 coats to look good

I used this stain to paint over a wooden gate that was originally stained red. It turns out a nice black stain colour that looks like dark grey in daylight. I didn't give 5 stars as I had to use 2 coats to cover the old red stain otherwise it would look patchy. This stain dries quickly on a warm day (25C) and I applied second coat 30 mins after the first coat.

Bought this paint few days ago and it's a lovely black shade, not too depressing black.i will say though to get the desired black it's definitely not a one coat paint.prob ateast 2 or 3 but dries very quickly.would buy again definitely need a bigger pot than expected but it's cheap so not too bad
