Very disappointing. Following all the instructions to the letter and using the correct ronseal sprayable fence paint the sprayer barely works. The paint came out in a very fine mist with no power or weight to it and it's obvious there just isn't enough power in the unit. The finish after multiple coats still looks terrible so it's going to have to be done over again with a brush. Waste of time and money.

Gave up after a couple of minutes

Bought and 3 x 10L tubs of the approved fence treatment paint as I had to cover over 100m of fencing and was looking for a quick & neat way to complete the job. Unit seemed good quality, pump was working albeit the reservoir was a bit small. Started it up and had a play with the settings and spray range/power to get what seemed to be the optimum setting for the job and began to spray a panel.
I persevered with this for about 20 mins adjusting settings first, then following up with a brush to remove runs and work the fence paint into the wood. I wouldve gotten better results if i had spat the paint onto the fence myself. I have used the hand pump before and had far superior result with one of those.. dont waste your money.. great idea but unfortunately mine is awaiting the next run to the dump..I spent the rest of the day completing the job by hand.. arduous but probably a better result ..

    would recommend this

Had high hopes for this as I thought would take longer using a brush...I was mistaken. First setting made a mess and sprayed paint all over the place so not really precise as they claim. The third setting was what got the job done; just about anyway. And after a few sprays later the battery light started blinking. Didn't expect it to each battery power so ridiculously quick. And in the end still needed a brush as it made the paint run like water. Granted the spray-able paint is watered down but still.

I did manage to get a reasonable amount down I will say but I don't think it's worth the money and I'm sure there are similar products that are better than this one.

    A brush is better

I thought this would be easier than a brush. It's not. You still need a brush to deal with the edges and runs. It took some getting used to. When I'd sussed it the batteries ran out, after only 2.5 panels. Had to go and buy some more. Managed to finish half the job (then cleaned the sprayer as per instructions), but today on the second half the nozzle kept getting bunged up, the feeder tube needed cleaning, and the batteries had to be changed, again. Not getting the throughput I needed so gave up and went back to the trusty old brush. Wish I'd never bought the thing, I'm down the price of it, three sets of batteries, and it uses alot more product for the same result. Totally unimpressed, what a wate of money. Avoid.
