Covers well, but must stir the tin well keep stirring on regular occasions, otherwise colour is variable on you go down the tin.

Stained 1 deck with this product 3 months ago and it looks great. Did a second deck about week ago. One tip is to make sure that the stain is really well mixed. Just stirring in the tin wasn't good enough. After doing that the first 2 boards looked a bit wishy washy. I got a larger container and kept pouring between container and tin and stirring in the larger container. Worked a treat, different colour and went on easily.

Don't believe the other reviews

I am shocked by the other reviews on here by people that clearly haven't used the product correctly.

I have now used it for my 3rd year and it is better than the many different products I used for 7 years before that.

Its a great product very durable when used correctly and looks great as my attached photo shows with it applied to my 10 year old decking

The tin clearly says not to use this on new wood as it is full of pressure treatment so why complain when you use it on new decking and get poor results.

Same goes for the guy that used it over shed paint and was then surprised when it didn't cover well this stuff needs to bond with the wood so if you paint it over a water resistant surface it is going to have trouble bonding.

Yes you need to stir and shame up the tin or the lighter colour goes to the bottom but it tells you that on the tin also.

Very poor

Unless you continually stir this product you end up putting a completely different shade on at the end of the tin

Not worth the money

I put a new decking down in 2015 and used Ronseal to stain the decking. by the summer of 2016 the more heavy traffic areas had worn off and the whole thing was looking tatty. I decided in 2017 to jetwash the decking and touchup, but even on the lowest pressure setting the stain just came off. So dissappopinted have to do the whole thing again. Won't be using Ronseal again...and this stuff's not cheap. Had to buy 5 tins as the coverage on the tin is not accurate. Waste of time and money
