Rated 5 out of 5 by from does exactly what it says on the tin Used wood filler to repair wooden window frames on modern church. Wood filler worked well and did not need to use excessive amounts to do the job. Job done in wet february month and product dried quickly. Thae price for product was reasonable and well worth the money. Very pleased with the base it left to then stain window frames.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product Ive just repaired a whole windowsill with this product instead of replacing the whole thing. Yes its expensive, but so easy to use and very fast drying. Easy to sand to a smooth finish, saves time and effort. Lives up to their claim "does what it says on the tin", just wish it was cheaper and I'd use it much more. Overall no complaints, best ive found to date. Well done Ronseal !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good product Mixes easily and dries rock hard. Only complaint is that it does dry dark, but when you sand it, it goes much lighter. Very easy to sand. repaired a damp rot door easily. Would recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from a life saver Used this many times to repair rotten wood, it works and is long lasting. I have a gate that had suffered bad damage caused by damp and I thought I would have to spend over £80 on a new one. However this product filled the gaps left where wood had to be removed fine, dried quickly to a solid finish and was easy to sand down. It took 4 coats of wood stain and looks as good as new. It comes in a range of different colours to get a good match and at £6.98 was a lot cheaper than a new gate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best filler by far! I bought the white shade of this and I can honestly say this is the best filler I've ever used. I used a full tin on the rotten bottom part of a window frame with excellent results. With other fillers you have to build it up in thinner layers and it takes ages to solidify, but not with this. It starts to harden soon after mixing and I've used it to fill deep and uneven parts of the frame. Just mix on the lid of the tin and apply with the supplied spreader as deep as you like. It isn't cheap but it's worth the money. Plus you get a pound off with your Trade Point card. I used it when it was around 8 degrees outside and it set solid easily within the 30 mins stated on the tin. You get more than enough of the catalyst hardener to mix the whole tin. I will say this though: although it's a big tin, it's only half full so you feel a bit robbed, so if it's a big job, 2 tins may be needed. I'd also recommend wearing disposable gloves. I found out the hard way that once it sets on your fingers and nails it's difficult to get off! Overall though, I can see this outlasting the rest of the wooden frame. Top buy!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Sets rapidly If you can work faster than Speedy Gonzales then this will be a great product, but otherwise I would opt for something else. It says you have 10 minutes working time once mixed, but it's nowhere near 10 minutes, it sets almost instantly.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sands to a much whiter colour. very disappointed, I searched for a long time to get the best match for work on my mahogany hardwood conservatory . I know the filler is sold by weight, but less than half of the actual tin is filler. The filler sets and fills well, but when it is sanded it sands to a very light colour and nothing like the hardened colour, so what is the entire point of trying to get a near match in the first place, so now I have to get a dye and try to build up to the colour I wanted. It dose not say that on the tin.
