These draw runners fit under the drawer box, the dimension instructions are a little odd but simply make the drawer box 1" narrower than the aperture and that's it. They have a very effective self close action that only needs you to set the cabinet runners 2mm behind the front face thereby preventing the runners from fully travelling to the end stop, the front face becoming the limit for in/out movement. I use them all the time. You will need some top clearance in the case to be able to fit the drawers into the case as the runner wheels have to initially roll over each other, a few mm does it.
