uneven finish over large surfaces
SamanthaIamthe - 5 months ago
looks terrible over large surfaces- but fine on smaller areas. as other reviewers have stated. I used it over anthracite chalk paint and it looks not great. Will be refinishing as soon as is practical
Don't do it!

Painstakingly painted a small wardrobe in their Anthracite grey chalk paint, looked great, but wanted a more hard-wearing finish. Painted this over the top as it says it's recommended for their chalk paint and it has ruined the whole thing. Dries really patchy - matt in places/shiny on others. Has changed the colour of the chalk paint too - much much darker now. Looks like it's still drying but has been a week and is perfectly dry. Awful product.
More like a stripper than lacquer!

After spending some time painting both of my sons pine beds with Winter Grey chalk paint, they looked pretty good. I then went and ruined it by using this dreadful product. As my title states, it seemed to strip away the paint to leave the finish more streaky than a slice of bacon. Do not buy!

Ruins paint. Leaves streaks and patches. Will return for refund. This gets horrific reviews. Wish I’d read them before buying.

Spent ages sanding down an old bureau, then applying three coats of paint only to have this product ruin it all!
