Takes quite a few coats

Took 5x coats to cover some prepped, white undercoat.
First coat needs to go on as thin as possible to avoid it 'beading up'. Subsequent coats can go on a bit thicker.
Although it's a nice finish, it's very thin and takes a lot of coats to cover properly.

thought i would take the plunge and paint my cupboards during my kitchen renovation. used sugar soap first to thoroughly clean the cupboards, then started painting with a fluffy roller, didn't like the finish so changed to a foam roller which gave a lot better finish in my eyes, used two coats to cover cupboards, over the moon with results. before and after photos added.

I have painted 2x bedside tables, 1x chest of drawers and a large mirror and I still have plenty left for more projects. It took 2-3 coats to get a nice finish but it was quick drying so didn’t take long. Very happy with the finished product!

I bought this paint based on the positive reviews ands they are so right! So far i have painted my pine bedside table and downstairs toilet cupboard which was a horrible dark mahogany colour. No special prep or sanding needed. Just paint 2 coats and bingo! Was worried the slate colour would be a bit too dark but it's not at all. Lovely.

Excellent coverage and no sanding required.

Having used various other chalk paints in the past, I would highly recommend this paint above others. The colour Slate is a true grey but has a blueish tinge in some lights. I painted my son’s oak veneer furniture and it came up beautifully. Two coats only and dries very quickly. With very little prep required, you can’t beat it.
