Product information

The crushing hammer action of the 18V SDS+ Rotary (Pneumatic) Hammer Drill is excellent for drilling through stone and concrete. Backed by an 18V motor with variable speed, forward and reverse, gives complete control to the user when taking on tough tasks. A non-hammer setting means it can be used to drill into wood and metal too. Four other modes (hammer and rotary drill, chisel and chisel alignment) add to the tool's strong diversity.

Features and benefits

  • If you're undertaking large masonry projects in stone, brick or concrete, such as drilling large holes for plumbing, cabling, or large fixings (10 mm+), the R18SDS-0's integrated pneumatic hammer gets the job done faster
  • Unlike a Combi Drill, the R18SDS-0 can also be used in hammer-only mode, which is perfect for chiselling and removing wall and floor tiles
  • The variable speed trigger gives you more control when taking on tough tasks. The SDS+ chuck makes this tool is compatible with all SDS+ drill and chisel bits
  • Featuring hammer drill, rotary drill, and chisel modes for maximum versatility. The integrated LED illuminates your work area for better visibility
  • This item is a 'bare' tool (without battery or charger) which is a great value way to expand your ONE+ collection

Was bought as a present a year ago. Used it for the first time a few days ago. Seemed underpowered compared to the other Ryobi tools I have and burnt out within a very short time.

DIY use only

On my second one, returned first one because the lugs inside fell off and my 2nd one which b&q very kindly exchanged has now done the same. Very happy with all my other ryobi products, just seems to be the SDS.

great for the size

I have had this drill for 6 months, I bought it due to the weight of my 36 volt drill( and an injury), on some jobs really only needing to drill a couple of 6mm holes and carry for some distance it was ideal for size/weight its a great drill for the size.the chuck has failed, in the sence the coller dose not " catch " the drill bit each time. Still use the 36 volt for the bigger holes...... because of this I choose to buy the combi drill to enable battery sharing( after second battery on existing failed) ..... mistake! combi drill is terrible .... the trigger requires to much preasure for full power, this is hard work through out the working day..... its a DIY tool expect DIY
