Had 2 of these. Engine seized on both in less than 1year. Engine is not strong enough.
Heavy, very noisy and incredibly underpowered.

I bought this to replace my long reach flymo battery powered hedge trimmer. I have a large privet hedge that I've cut twice a year for the last 7 years. I was hoping This was more powerful and would make it easier. It is very heavy and hard to manoeuvre. It is incredibly noisy. It is also extremely under powered. I would recommend an electric long reach but this was a real waste of time.

I have used 2 trimmers in my life and this latest version by Ryobi RLT26HT is the most easy of all to use.
No need to wait for the battery to charge. The petrol operated trimmer starts with out any effort. Light weight, I was able to finish the garden with out feeling exhausted. The design is the best so far but does not come with a strap. I used the old trimmers strap. The manufacture should still include one for safety, but obviously they did not worry about this which left me a little concerned.
