Bought 3 weeks ago for new bespoke doors. They really look the part, as though they were made for our new doors.

The handles are good to look at and strong and easy to use. I'm opening and closing the doors more often now because I enjoy being able to do this.

Great looking but work loose

Fitted these to all internal doors in my house. They look great and have a nice modern and ergonomic design.
However the technical design to fix to your doors is flawed. You screw to the door with 3 x tiny screws. These need to gain purchase in the wooden door material so as to stop the handle mechanism rotating. The handle is also fixed normally to a central spindle with a grub screw.
The problem is that of the 3 screws, the screw hole positions are in the 9, 12 and 3 o'clock positions. But the 9 and 3 o'clock positions are useless as the screws will clash with your horizontal latch mechanism. (standard 35mm door). The only solution is to cut the screws down so that the shorter length doesn't clash. But then you have the problem that 1 screw and 2 x half screws are not secure enough for the handle to remain in place. It doesn't take long for them to work loose. Then you are only left with the grub screw on the spindle to keep the handle on the door.
I'm looking for a solution whereby I can use a sleeve bolt through the door to clamp both handles together, but it would need to be a really fine bolt to fit the screw tapers. (M2 I'm guessing). Can't find anything on the 'net.
Has anyone discovered a solution? I like the handles but they're rubbish as keep falling off the doors.
