Reviews
Not a first time project

I bought this kit because of the price, when delivered it was clear that this was not a straight forward task. However lots of spare timber, which is good as there were quite a few damaged bits. It is hard going make no mistake. I have not had an issue with warped doors or Windows but would agree that the timbers are poorly cut with knots in the wrong places. But when built it looks good and oozes quality, but this is down to the time taken to build it, take your time, read the instructions and all should be fine..

Outstanding value for money.
Overall this product is fantastic quality and once it's built it's a pleasure to be in. It wasn't without a few puzzled moments during the build and the instructions could be clearer and have better photos but we got there in the end. Two days is a realistic time scale and it needs to be kept dry during this time. We finished our second off with an elevated bunk to give our daughter a play hours with an upstairs. She delighted with it. I had designed one to build myself but simply couldn't get the timber at anywhere near the price and considering this cabin is machined to perfection there were no joints for me to make. Would recommend this cabin without hesitation.
Also when I contacted the suppliers to beg for a faster delivery date to accommodate school holidays they bent over backwards and got it to me a week earlier. Hats off to their customer service dept.
Great log cabin

Firstly I'm puzzled by the negative reviews of this cabin, you are buying in kit form so there will be work involved!. Shire were great delivered on time and on arranged day so far so good, the delivery driver was very helpful and pleasant giving tips on how to construct the cabin .The first thing to do is to read the instructions carefully and sort out the wood into sections wall's,roof frames ect this is what we did on the first day.day 2 floor bearers down, wall's up roof beams on and door and window frames done.day 3 sealed with wood preservative finished roof and painted .day 4 glazed Window and door floor and electrics and finishing touches.the only negatives are instructions sketchy and panel pins to big for glazing you will also need a circular saw and good chisel.all in all you can't go wrong just take your time and don't rush the job very pleased with the purchase!
Patience will get you a decent shed

Ordered this in March and came early April. Communications from supplier were good. There are lots of bits and most are labelled pity the instructions are not reference to labels. Ikea could teach Shire a few tricks. Took 2 people 2 days to get main structure up and weathertight. Supplied with a few spare timbers and glass and sufficient screws. Best to have someone on hand who is use to DIY
Overall price from BQ was very competitive but has gone up in price since. Overall good value and average quality.
Not for the faint hearted

Shocking item that is NOT for a DIYer. This cabin came in a million pieces and the instructions are designed more for a fully qualified joiner or chippy!
Nowhere on the description does it tell you the sheer magnitude of the task ahead of you.
I would not not recommend this item to anyone without a degree in joinery.
