An OK product, shame about the Shire customer care
This summer house is a reasonably good product. In the main straightforward to construct, albeit you need to drill holes for screws which could have more conveniently been done by the supplier. Some instructions could be clearer, and some timbers weren't to the specified size. The stumbling blocks we encountered were late information on delivery times, which then turned out to be amazingly inaccurate, and then, to add to that inconvenience, even later than adjusted, with a monosyllabic delivery person. Shire boasts of being customer focussed but doesn't respond to requests for help or advice. Still waiting for a response to a question on the build guidance weeks later. Disappointed.

Don’t waste your money
This is sold as a summer house, the quality of the wood would not even be acceptable for a shed. Very rough wood. The roof was not shiplapped, it was cheap pressed board, when painted the colour just leeched through the paint. Bits were missing, one roof panel was too small. It has been up about a week and is already leaking, we can’t locate where.

So good I bought a second.
I bought this shed 10 yrs ago for the garden and it still looks good so I bought a second one for the allotment last week. My husband built it in a day and recommends putting on the doors before the roof.

GOOD QUALITY WOOD
problem was this is in too many pieces resulting in very weak structure ,walls and floor needed extra wood for strength, floor too short, felt poor nails too short had to do a lot of alteration and strengthening to make it solid

nice looking.right size
just finished putting it up too many pieces hence when you come to erect it lots don't fit properly floor too short roof bars too short walls and floor had to be strengthened spent over 100 pound on extra wood, nails ,screws, brackets and silicone just to make it serviceable still cant get the doors to close properly pity because it did look good in the picture ,been at it for a week hopefully will have it finished in another week ,there really is too much work to do on this ,

Really good quality
I bought this a month ago for my crafts. It was really easy to put up and when I painted it, it looked amazing! Delivery was quick and very helpful!

Fantastic value for money
Assembled it yesterday with my son (took about 4 hours). Followed a lot of advice from previous reviews eg.. fit doors before roof / strengthen floor / coat before assembling. These all made good sense which I benefitted from. Looks so good in my recently landscaped garden. Quality of all materials good for the price. Very satisfied customer.

Perfect little summerhouse
Really pleased with the quality. takes 2-3 coats of Cuprinol shades paint, would advise painting before you build. Really easy to put up on your own but needed a hand for the roof. would also advise extra support for the base. Well worth the money!

Update - insulated and lined
We've had this summerhouse up a few weeks now and absolutely delighted with it,! We decided to insulate and line it with plywood and have just finished painting the inside today. We read the reviews beforehand and got some good advice. Would definitely recommend buying this summerhouse. :)
