Made from the finest quality slow grown Swedish redwood, our planter comes fully assembled and pre-stained using a premium oil based preservative enhancing the planters resistance to moisture and further protecting it against our inclement weather and changing seasons, giving years and years of outdoor use. FSC Certified sustainably sourced timber and hand crafted in Britain with quality protected fittings, you can be assured you are buying a planter suitable not only for domestic use but also commercial/contract quality such as restaurants, bars, RAF bases, golf clubs, cricket grounds etc. Approx Dimensions (due to being handmade these can alter slightly):- Including Lip – Width 825mm x Depth 410mm x Height 310mm Excluding Lip – Width 700mm x Depth 280mm Height 295mm Please note the drainage slats on the base of the planter to prevent rot. A liner or membrane can be used if required however not essential. You could also recycle the cardboard packaging supplied to support the growing media/compost (remembering to create drainage holes) Alternatively place some rocks/old pot pieces in the base of the planter. This will assist with drainage and prevent plant root rot. No need to stain or treat, however if you wish to enrich or change the colour this can be done with a water based stain or outdoor timber paint. Oil based preservatives can also be used to nourish the wood and increase the durability.
