Bought this online for click and collect, went to collect and 8 of the tiles were chipped or had the corners knocked off.Heather(Washington) ordered some more. New order were chipped etc. Eventually after 4 journeys to the store I got my tiles!
Heather and the other ladies at the click and collect were great

First used this tile in shower last autumn. Liked it so much that using again in family bathroom around new shower/bath. When sealed has lovely finish and is easy to clean. Looks stylish and felt was good value for money. Would have given 5 stars but one tile had chipped edge (tiler cut it to fit into corner so not a problem) and a couple of tiles were firmly stuck together - tiler couldn't separate. Fortunately had ordered enough to have a few spares! Tiler said he loved working with the stone - it cut cleanly and was easy to work with.

The tiles varied in size and thickness
Low quality tile, but still not bad value

OK so these are very cheap at £1.50 each, but, at least for the ones I got, this is not surprising as they have a few flaws.
As I understand it travertine is characterised by cavities within the stone which have to be filled to give a smooth surface. But these tiles have far more filler than I was expecting. Some of the tiles are almost as much resin as stone! This has three problems: Often the resin is not 'perfect' so water egress may be a real possibility, secondly, they often fracture when cutting (even with a water suppressed diamond tile cutter), and thirdly, the edges are sometimes not perfect as they happen to have been cut through the resin which has split off. About one tile in ten gave me one of these issues.
There are other relatively minor issues. There is considerable colour and pattern variation between tiles. I've fitted stone tiles before and have experienced a small amount of variation within a batch, but these are quite wildly different (see B&Q shower enclosure image). These are not beveled tiles, they have straight cut edges. This means that after grouting you'll see all the imperfections of the stone (as mentioned above). Perhaps you may like this, but personally I want straight-edged grout, so I put a micro-bevel into them myself using a block and sand-paper.
I used these in a utility area, so water impermeability was not too much of an issue, but I must admit I'd think twice about fitting these in an area I was hoping to be water-tight. If you do, definitely inspect the tiles well before fitting and use a good impregnator like Lithofin Stain Stop at the end of the job.
In short, you may not mind some of these issues, but compared to a good quality travertine or limestone tile, these are of relatively low quality.
Travertine single tiles - brilliant!

Beautiful product - look so expensive. Perfect finish to any room, have been used to create a simple hearth and really completes the room! Just be careful though as the corners can get damaged when handling.
