Works for me

Not sure why the bad reviews I've had one for six months now with no problems and I'm using the sander around an hour at a time with no problems only changing the belt once it's worn out, ignore the bad reviews and buy one.
Bought this to sand my floor

I needed a sander to sand my lounge floor, I was willing to pay top price, I ask the assistant which is the best and he said this one will do the job, and boy was he right first class machine would recommend to any one. Five stars.
Trash doesnt work

It worked for a bit, then the rear roller stopped spinning the belt; there are no spare parts for this model online, not even on Skil's website. Genuinely trash and a waste of money
Not fit for purpose

I bought this as I have owned a skill circular saw for the past 20 years with no issues. Initially the sander worked very well, but as working time progressed, the belt started to shred. Even after replacing the belt with a good quality product, I still had the same problem.
Skil used to be a name of quality, but not anymore.
self adjusting belt guide shreds belt in minutes
steve 379 - 10 months ago
actual sander is really good for the short time i used it. as some of the reviews say the self adjusting belt alignment shreds the belt within minutes, it looks like it works by a guide rubbing on the sanding belt so i'm not surprised. not sure why they've fitted this instead of a manual adjuster, just poor design of a needless part letting a good product down. shouldn't be sold.
