We have a living flame gas fire which is a pretty standard size. This guard fits perfectly and suits the purpose we bought it for which was to keep the dogs tail away from the flame also great for our 4 year old grandson as it stops any unwanted flying object from going into the fire. Would not use it to stop children from falling against an open fire but this is not what it is designed for.
Wrong height in description

This guard is 660mm tall inc handle not 270mm as in online description. Haven't tried it yet but thought folk would like to know it isn't really that small
