Nice wood.
Fabulous piece of wood, i looks and smells like real wood, the grain is nothing short of spectacular and runs right through to the other end. Absolutely amazing stuff.

Disappointed
Very disappointing, several splits down the centre rendered item useless. Also signs of warping and not straight as it could be and not as smooth as it should be either. On returning the item I checked several others only to find them warped and not straight. Will not buy timber from B&Q agIn if this is a sign of the quality.

Good quality timber overall
Good quality timber overall, but a few pieces weren't straight and had very hard, tough knots.

Good product
This batch of timber, unlike the last, was straight and free from any defects.

Pick your wood
Good value general-purpose timber. Easy to cut, sand and work with, and the pieces I bought were decent once I’d picked through the rack. As with most softwood like this, it’s worth checking each length for twists, bows, splits and excessive knots before buying. Pick the straight ones and it’s perfectly good for workshop projects and general DIY.
