I have been looking for a new vice for light work and come across this multi angle vice from Stanley, at first i over looked it in favour of a traditional bench vice but in the end the versatility and great price swung it for me.
And it has versatility alright, the vice jaws are mounted on a 360 ball joint made of steel that locks down rock solid with infinite angles, the vice jaws have removable rubber covers to protect jobs you won't want to scratch, i even mounted my rotary tool on it but need to sort out some kind of rest.
The base has a soft grip surface so it won't damage the surface you mount it too, the mounting clamp is also very solid but i would have liked to see the tightening bar a little bigger, all tightening bars and threads are steel, the main body parts are aluminium.

I bought this vice to hold project pieces (wooden dowel, circuit boards, parts for filing e.t.c.) and have not been disappointed. The table clamp is covered in rubber, protecting the surface it is attached to. The swivel mechanism is very easy to use and is very tight with no free play and holds the vice jaws in any angle desired. The vice jaws have removable rubber covers and grip very tightly. This is one of those tools which I wish I had purchased many years ago and for the price is unbeatable. There is nothing negative that I can say about this product, it is absolutely solid.

I bought this as a house / garage aid for light diy and repairs, very easy to use with rubber pads to protect work piece, table tops and worktops, the only one to buy as you can adjust to your working angle, MAC basic table vice was selling for £6 less, no brainer I think.........
