I bought this sander to sand a tongue and groove wall. had to tape the dust box on.so a bad design.

Brought this to sand a couple of window ledges down as this was the only one in store at the time. Works great. I’ve used it on a number of jobs now. Never let me down. Does what it says on the tin.
Disappointed in quality

Bought one in April 2019 and it lasted 10 weeks, decided to get a replacement as maybe the first one was a one off but the 2nd one lasted 9 days. Both sanders developed a screech after a few days and tiny chips are thrown out from the slot at the side which can be felt rather than seen. Eventually the sander just stops.
The button to lock the trigger works but is awkward to use - a sliding switch would be easier on top of the handle.
Registering the 3 year guarantee is a carry on! The 'SKU' number asked for online is nowhere to be found. I contacted Stanley UK and they couldn't even find the product on their system! They had to look it up on B&Qs website but had no idea where to get the SKU number so issued a letter giving the 3 year guarantee. Bizarre.
