I bought it today to try and level a wall that was very uneven in places (grade 2 listed house) couldnt afford the real deal but this stuff was amazing, it literally has made the wall flat and in some places needed 2 coats, im over the moon with it!! Also helped level out plaster around some cracks so their no longer noticeable!! Very easy to use.

Had a skim job done but was not really great, could still see chase marks and unevenness and the finish was far from perfect. Purchased this and followed the instructions using all the tools provided. Had some doubts after applying and smoothing the next day. Although I could still make out marks from the original skim it seemed a lot better. However the magic is sanding in the sanding! After sanding the surface is very smooth and all marks and unevenness is completely gone. Looks perfect and just ready for a mist coat now.
It's best to get a pole sander and 120grit sanding roll (about £20 all in) rather than using an electric sander as you will be able to sand it evenly and flat, unless of course you have a proper trade wall sander. Remember your dust mask and protective sheeting!
Not quite magic

Bought this as an alternative to having to pay £800 for my staircase wall, hallway and landing to be skimmed. I took wallpaper off which left several dents and parts of the PVA sealant. I couldn’t just paint over it because it would have left a distinct line at the edge of the pva where it met bare plaster.
I tried using the tools that come with it but quickly learned that they are almost useless. I ended up ditching them and simply using a filling blade and took my time. A little bit of sanding and the results are very good. The wall is now smooth enough to be painted without any defects showing.
It’s not advanced perfect as if I’d have had it skimmed but I am happy, more importantly, the wife is happy.
If you have time and patience this stuff can save you a lot of cash.
I never didn’t believe in magic

Perhaps this is ok on walls but after nearly three days of battling a ceiling I can certainly say this is far from magic. The compound is basically thick polyfiller, the roller was too small and lightweight to handle it and broke within seconds. Having resorted to spreading it over the artex dimples by hand and watching regular dollops drop to the floor i used the smoothing tools and created what can only be described as the inside of a cave. As I stood and watched small bubbles appeared over the entire ceiling. Two days of sanding later I finally had something slightly resembling a smooth ceiling (with the addition of smooth polyfiller to cover the many rough spots). As I rollered the ceiling with emulsion I had the joy of seeing the bubbles create small holes. I’ve now given up and will simply dine with my head down from now on.
Overall don’t believe the hype, save yourself time and considerable effort by getting someone in to replaster & watch them while kicking back with a coffee!!!

Wasn't sure from the reviews how it would handle horrendous 1980's artex walls, but figured we could give it a go. I can honestly say this stuff is amazing! 2 coats over the deep monstrosity has levelled it off & saved a lot of time, money & hassle of associated with trying to get rid of artex. Would highly recommend. See attached picture for comparison & what one coat of it can do.
