Bought 60 pieces to lay alongside an old paved garden path - to stop the soil from the adjacent flower bed spilling onto the path. One of the very few DIY jobs that turns out to be EASIER than you'd think. The paving is very forgiving. Its irregular top and sides mean you can leave your spirit level and line in the shed. Just dig a shallow trench about 40mm deep, throw in a (about 5-10mm) layer of dry sharp sand and cement mix (6:1 will do). Tamp it down level(ish) and smooth(ish) and lay the paving. Then a light spray with the hose to moisten everything and help the mortar to set properly.

Cutting is easy - a sharp blow with your lump hammer on a broad bolster will cleave the paving neatly, so long as you cut between two "stones".

It helps to do a little planning to make sure you hide any cut ends in the middle of a run of paving - the cut ends can be hidden with some cement grout.

Right angle corners are easy - and gentle curves are not a problem - but anything other than a 90 degree turn needs a bit of thought as you will have a triangular gap between two pieces - I just put some mortar in.

Leave about 5-10mm between adjacent pieces so that the grouting joint will be the same size as the fake ones. After a couple of years weathering, moss, lichen etc will make the edging look as though it's been there for a 100 years.

I think the photo and dimensions might be misleading. Each piece is a 510mm long (as stated on the website), but be aware that the piece has a flat side that is 160mm wide, and the height of the tops of the stones varies due to their irregular shape - but its about 125mm above the flat side.
I'd say that the pieces are best laid on their flat side, giving an overall height of 125mm, and a width of 160mm.
I expect you could lay them with the flat side to the rear, giving you a 125mm wide edge and a height of 160mm less however much you bury.
I prefer the 160mm wide option with the flat face on the ground, because with the alternative, the flat face is exposed, albeit at the rear - but it's obvious as you walk on the path that the back of the edging is flat. As they say... you pays your money and makes your choice!
