This is a great value lamp, considering there are other more expensive versions out there. It is practical to use - good quality and does exactly what it is supposed to.

Bought it for my sons bedroom. He loves it but after only one day the head keeps drooping down and will not lock in position. I am going to swap it and hope that the new one is better

Bought for my partner to help her see to take out her contact lenses. Despite the previous review claim, the lamp locks easily, it has remained in the same position now for 6 months. Would heartily recommend it as a reading or desk lamp.

A perfectly good lamp (especially when you consider it's only £16) except for the fact that once placed in a particular position, the head of the lamp slowly sinks due to its weight. There is a lock knob designed to allow you to tighten it up but using considerable hand pressure, I could not tighten it sufficiently to prevent the droop. In fact, this knob is pathetically small and way too small to allow it to be screwed tight enough by hand. I had to use big pliars - three times - before the wretched thing stopped slowly drooping. It's fixed now. So, if you ain't got pliars, don't bother with this product.
