Defective manufacture
The L-section mouldings that were delivered to me had deep grooves cut into the sides along their entire length. This was clearly because the machine being used to make them was not set up properly. Their structural rigidity is seriously impaired by this. Don't buy these unless you can see and check the actual pieces that you are buying.
