Good price but poor value

Not worth the extra labour involved as needs at least two coats, three on filled areas which are a darker shade

This paint is runny, has very poor coverage and is expensive. Don’t buy this paint.

This is the worst emulsion we have ever bought, and we've done a lot of decorating in our time. We've heard good things about Valspar in general, but have to say that this large tub of white must be of a different quality. The paint is very thin and coverage very poor - even after two coats it looked like only one thin one. I don't know whether batches vary, but I simply cannot understand the reviews saying that this is the best people have used. Almost like a diluted paint for a mist coat. We took it back and complained and were told it was only intended for a 'base coat'. After reading out what it said on the tin about optimum coverage and excellent finish, we had our money refunded. Don't often write reviews, but this was truly bad.
Great coverage and stays white

Used pure brilliant white in a few rooms now and 3 years on, the first room is still white, it's not yellowed at all. This paint has the highest tungsten levels over all branded paints so is actually white. No wonder B&Q are dropping Crown with its inferior quality paint.
Better than expected

I was offered this product by a member of the store team. I took them at their word. All I can say is thanks a million to the team member. This paint was a dream to apply and it's finish better than branded paints
