Wouldn’t Use Anything Else

My husband bought this a few weeks ago to paint our newly plastered rooms, when he brought it home I jumped straight on here to look at the reviews and was a little bit worried we will ruin the plaster we just paint good money for and delay our timeline if we had to then re paint if this was no good. The absolute opposite happened, never painted fresh plaster before and was fully prepared to do 2 coats of this stuff and then a couple of something else for a top coat, couldn’t be more wrong, one coat of this practically covered everything, could see a few brush strokes etc but after the second coat it was immaculate and you couldn’t see any marks at all, won’t be using a top coat as the finish of this is amazing, have only done 3 rooms in the house so far but will be using this paint in all the other rooms and recommending it to everyone! Also used it to paint the coving and had no problems and they came up beautiful (pictures before/after one coat/after 2 coats)

As per the title. High opacity? No. Covered nothing. Waste of time and money. Stay away from Valspar. I'll be getting my money back.
Worked for me

I bought this paint as a base coat for newly plastered walls, which I understand is what it is made for. it has covered a large bedroom, hallway, staircase and landing well and left a flat opaque finish ready for topcoat. Saw all the negative reviews and just wanted to let people know it's worked for me so probably will for you. It begs the question as to how much 'user error' has factored into the poor results but I'll say no more about that
Worst paint ever!

This is the worst wall paint I ever used.I wish I've done some research before I brought this paint.I'm doing a small bathroom, and the coverage is terrible. After 4 hours drying, still wet, and I'm sure still need at least another 3 coats.Do the math. Will take all day to do a small room!Do youself a favour, buy something else.Oh, and not cheap to.

I've used valspar mixed paints and been really happy, This emulsion was purchased with this in mind to coat our freshly plastered walls. It took several coats to cover, and the only way was to heavily load the roller. The finish is satisfactory and it has not blistered like other reviews here. Would not buy again.
