The Valspar Universal White Primer & Undercoat, 750ml, is designed to provide a smooth, even base for paint, improving adhesion and durability on a variety of surfaces. Suitable for both wood and metal, this primer helps to block stains and prevents rust, ensuring a long-lasting finish. Ideal for use indoors and outdoors, it enhances the appearance and performance of topcoat applications.

- Instructions for Use - Stir contents thoroughly to ensure paint is evenly mixed, apply 1 coat using a suitable brush, roller or professional spray equipment. Apply liberally, working from dry areas into the paints wet edge and finish with gentle verticle strokes, avoid excessive brushing. Extra coats may be required when making dramatic colour changes. Do not thin this product. Dries to the touch in about an hour under normal conditions, allow 2-4 hours between coats.

Excellent undercoat
I always buy Valspar, it is excellent! This undercoat went on very smoothly, I was covering up an avocado painted wall which was to be redecorated with Valspar’s Lip Gloss which is very pale, but this undercoat was up to the challenge. I only needed to apply two coats of lip gloss and the avocado is gone! Highly recommend and will buy again!

This product is satisfactory
Having purchased this product I was a bit concerned that it was of a runnier consistency than the undercoat that I had previously bought but it appears to be satisfactory.

Excellent primer
Bought this primer first time and used it on my bathroom door. Found the adhesion of paint very good and covergae also good. It dried quite quick as stated on the tin. But the best thing for me is that it has no horrible smell and it made my job much better. Recommended.

Super gloss finish.
What a finish. One coat and it shines. Super buy. Goes over undercoat smoothly and adhers . Dries in good time. Covered my banisters wonderfully.
