Trying to get the lids off these paint pots is impossible. I've never had such trouble with paint tins. I live on my own but had to get my neighbour to help me out and even he had difficulty. Such a basic requirement! Please sort this out B&Q otherwise I will purchase another brand in future.

I really wish I'd read the reviews beforehand (check out the 5 and 10 litre version for even more evidence..) - decided to Google the paint as we noticed that it you went over an area you'd done a few minutes beforehand, the roller would pull up the already laid paint - and what horrors we found. Our second coat is still drying and we're already seeing the crackling and flaking pictured in almost every review for this paint, so I dread to think what it will look like in the morning - now anticipating having to sand back a whole room and repaint. Given the high level of shocking reviews (with picture evidence) I'm baffled that B&Q are still stocking this and Valspar don't seem to care?

Does the Job it say's on the tin

I agree the lid is really hard to get off, but actually I haven't had any problems so far, I bought it originally for our downstairs WC ceiling worked a treat so made my way to the hallway walls. I hadn't checked the reviews, I went purely on brand and price and as a Valspar was given strong reviews.

I thought I would come on as I haven't had any issues and I thought it would be good to see reviews from someone who has used it and had no peeling issues.... So far! (we'll see what happens in summer when it is extremely hot) so far so good!

Badly designed lid.

I was hoping to get on with painting a ceiling today. I've just wasted about an hour because I couldn't get the lid off the tin. The instruction on the tin said to press down and lift the edge of the lid. I tried really hard but I couldn't budge it. Tried attacking it with a screwdriver. That did work. Very frustrating. I eventually took it back to the shop and got my money back. I bought a tin of Dulux instead. No problems getting the lid off that.
