I bought this fan as a replacement in an en suite. The original fan worked ok but I found the constant noise annoying and when I was using the en suite I was unable to hear the door bell or the phone ringing.
This fan is a bit quieter, I think about 3 decibels lower from 3 metres. So all in all I was expecting this fan to be much quieter. I should have done more research before buying. Disappointing.
Great Bathroom Fan

I bought one of these 2 months ago. I was so pleased I bought another one yesterday for our en-suite. It is a really neat looking fan, much quiter than the ones removed. Can't obviously comment on long term reliability yet. I have replaced the two old fans, fitted in the house when it was built 20 years ago. As far as SETUP ..... I have set both white dip switches (1&2) to the off position, (down position in photo). This gives maximum flow when on and no trickle, when off. I have set the timer to nearly minimum and it runs for 5 minutes.

Great fan when it's working. Not very waterproof so tends to short circuit. I have had two of these fans and installed them above a shower. After 4-5 months of regular use both fans shorted out due to water getting into the electrics. The problem appears to be with the design. The cables are to the side of the fan and the live, neutral and light switch cables are to close together, making it very easy for the cables to short circuit with just a small amount of steam or water. B&Q refunded my first purchase but I have misplace the receipt for the second so with to follow up with head office to try and secure a refund. I'm sure this is a great fan for less steamy areas. I would suggest Vent-Axia put this on the packaging.

Completely agree with the previous reviewer re. the manual - its written in hieroglyphic mime and part of the fun is to try and work out what is being alluded to. It comes with a small round grille which is not mentioned in the manual - I have no idea where to place this! I just installed the fan in the bathroom ceiling but this small part seems redundant - does anyone know where it goes??
