From the moment I picked up this rather shoddy little hatchet I knew it wasn’t fit for purpose. You may be asking yourself “why did you buy it then?” We’ll unfortunately this was a gift.
This axe would only be suitable for someone with less than DIY experience, maybe a pen-pusher or DJ trying for a few feeble moments to feel manly. This really a terrible piece of kit. Entry level doesn’t cut it... this is Fisher Price!
Sharp as a spoon

Good job I happened to buy a whetstone at the same time as this, as it'd be totally unusable otherwise. I've had sharper butter knives. Generous of them to put a blade cover on when it's completely redundant! Once you do get it sharpened though it's not a bad axe, seems sturdy enough. Maybe give it a miss for the next brand up unless you have time to grind an axe. :D

Honestly I am beginning to wonder why I bother buying anything from B&Q as it is generally rubbish.
This axe is completely blunt. I've got sharper teaspoons.
Not fit for purpose.
If it is sold blunt for some dumb H&S reason then this should be made clear on the packaging so people without appropriate tools to sharpen an axe can save their money.
Takes a beating well
