Sunflowers are fast growing and impressive plants, this is a very tall variety. Sunflowers are great fun to plant and enjoy especially with children.

• Best for growing at backs of borders, up against walls or fences where it can have plant support added. in Sunny, sheltered areas
• Moist & well drained Aerated soil
• Watering instructions - Keep compost moist during germination period and thereafter. Water well during dry spells.
• Plant in March - May, Flowering period July - September
• Sow directly outdoors April-June, planting two seeds together every 45cm, 1.5cm deep in well drained soil in a sunny position. Keep moist. Can also be sown inside March-April 1cm deep into peat free multipurpose or seed compost into 9cm pots. Acclimatise to outdoor conditions, then plant out 45cm apart in a sunny spot after risk of frost is over. Seedlings will usually appear after 14-21 days. If both seeds germinate, remove the smaller of the two seedlings to leave one strong healthy seedling in each location.
• Plant supports will be required, best grown against walls or fences.
