Size not as advertised!
Zdex9r - 1 year ago
The advertised sizes are 131x28mm x2100
I therefore bought 9 trusting the sizes without physically measuring
Unfortunately when I opened up toatart building the lining it turned out every jamb was 2010 NOT 2100
No good when every millimetre counts!
I then had the hassle of loading 9 door kits back into my car and wasting my time and fuel taking them all back to b and q.
The store was told of this advertising error and I'm therefore surprised to see the same product and size labelling error being advertised online!
Please ensure you check the physical sizes and do not trust the label!

Warped and unusable , just terrible. I would not recommend

I bought three of these door linings every one was twisted! B&Q don't even follow there own storage instructions, these should be stored flat but are stood up. If you purchase these check the wood thoroughly for twists, open up the pack if you need to.
Ok for the money.

Some bits of damage to jambs but easy to hide. Height is advertised as 2.1 but they are barely over 2 metres but no big deal. As for others saying about widths and b&q not stating. it is quite clear its a reversible head and does a 686 or a 762. Very easy to measure without having to assemble it and measure. If you dont know this then you shouldnt really be fitting it.
Hard to use

As soon as they were unpacked they twisted out of shape. I have managed to force them into an some sort of line, but door has needed extra trimming to fit. Now, when undercoating, a previously smooth piece of timber has gone all furry, requiring further work. I had intended doing all my doors with this product, glad I only purchased 2 though.
