- Place the coir tablets in a bowl with 180 ml of water, allowing coir to expand. Fill the compostable tray with the coir up to 2 cm below the rim. Sprinkle the seeds over the soil and cover with 1 cm of coir (use one packet per 2 tray cells). Place the compostable tray inside the plastic tray. Place the tray somewhere bright, but away from direct sunlight (18-20°C) Keep moist at all times, but do not allow soil to become soggy. Misting with a water spray works well. When the plants are about 5 cm tall, replant them into larger pots. Choose pots around 12 cm in diameter and plant using general potting compost. Place in a bright position outdoors after the chance of frost has passed. Alternatively, plant directly into the garden in a sunny spot, 60 cm apart and after the chance of frost has passed. Support with garden canes
