Bought this to replace one I fitted in the kids' bedroom OVER 25 YEARS AGO! Speaks volumes about the quality of the original that it lasted this long, surviving the vagaries and rough-handling of successive kids and teenagers; speaks even more about the quality of the store that can stock the same line for 25 years, plus the member of staff who, after a cursory glance at the broken handle on the original, just said "..end of aisle eleven, second shelf up."
Pity about the price ...it certainly didn't cost £18.52 in 1992! But then again, petrol was £1.70 a gallon in 1992 and its £5.50 a gallon now!
Here's to the next 25 years...I'll be pushing 103 when I buy the next one. It'll probabaly cost £60 by then, and if there's any petrol left it'll be £30 a gallon!
