Can be used on it's own or as part of a set.
The instruction leaflet, and the app could have better instructions but overall I found Yale happy to answer questions on social media.
First thing to consider is where you will mount this - you need to drill a hole 20mm in diameter for the ethernet plug to pass through. It is a wifi cam but there is an ethernet port also which I had no use for.The power cable is long but think about where you will plug it in.
You need to buy a memory card to record onto, ideally get this before you mount it. Also install the app on your phone using the QR code on the camera's underside.
I tested it indoors before mounting, you can have it on a window pointing outside but at night you get glare.
The app took some figuring out, to view what it has recorded you tap history and waiting for it to load, the red thick lines will be activity - scroll along to play footage- if you want to save any footage, tap the video icon while its playing and it saves or the camera icon to save an image, you can then export these file.
For the alerts I chose human activity only otherwise you get too many from cars passing and moths etc
The cam itself is solid and well made, login is password protected (or fingerprint on phone) once it is able to work with Alexa (which hopefully is in pipeline) it will be even better.
