A honest review - 3 months ago
Used this to paint my plastic kitchen cabinet doors. It is a great product and adhered so well, but a couple of warnings to any novices like me:
1. It's a solvent based paint so you need methylated spirit to clean your brushes after.
2. The solvent base means it dries very quickly. The paint gets sticky when applied and you cant spend much time "spreading" the paint - otherwise you risk butchering the whole finish.
3. If using a foam roller, try and find solvent resistant ones as the paint dissolves normal ones quite rapidly leaving tiny bits of foam behind on the surface. If you cant find solvent resistant ones, just buy plenty of spares so you can change them regularly.
Excellent stain cover

Used this after other brands failed to cover the stains on a ceiling. It needs stirring well before use and I gave it 2 coats. 12 months later still no sign of stains. Use methylated spirit to clean brush.

I used this to prime melamine kitchen cupboards before painting. I applied with a brush to get into the nooks and crannies and it applied just fine. After reading other reviews I was expecting to find this difficult to work with but I found it easy to use and I am by no means and experienced DIYer. It’s thin and dries quickly but if doesn’t take long to realise how much you can put on your brush and how far it will go. I did two coats over 17 cupboards and still have half a tin left. I also used over a stained section of ceiling and so far the stain has not reappeared.

Totally messed up my front door trying to paint over wood stain with Satin wood which just split and wouldn't cover. Bought some of this this morning after reading reviews. It has a very strong odour and it recommends you wear rubber gloves and protective glasses as it's pretty potent stuff! I bought both. Also recommend that you ventilate the room you are using this in. The paint needs to be put on quickly and left as it dries very very quickly. Trying to go over is not recommended as it will ball up. It dries so quickly I was able to put 2 coats on this morning and now set to apply the satin finish again. Very pleased with way it covered over all the split paint. Now thinking about using this as a base coat for other woodwork in my hallway.
Does what it’s supposed to do :)

I’ve been using this for years, if you READ THE LABEL it says use Methylated spirits for clean up! i use high density mini foam rollers, 2 coats job done! No bleed through good base for painting, happy customer
