What are the changes being made to the Diamond Card scheme?
We have limited the number of products that qualify for the Wednesday 10% Diamond card discount. From 3 September 2018 the 10% Diamond Discount applies to over 10,000 gardening and Christmas products when you shop and take away in store on a Wednesday.
Why do gardening and Christmas products still qualify for the 10% Diamond discount and other products don't?
We know that gardening and Christmas products are popular amongst our Diamond customers, so as a way of saying thank you for shopping with us, we’re keeping the discount on over 10,000 gardening and Christmas products.
Diamond Card customers will continue to receive great benefits of B&Q Club membership including:
- Money saving vouchers for future shops, emailed to you to use in store or online
- 10% discount on food and drink in B&Q Cafes
- Digital receipts emailed to you after each shop
- £10 discount on two-hour van rental through Hertz

Why has the 10% Diamond discount changed?
We want all our customers to benefit from stable low prices they can trust every time they shop so we are simplifying our pricing by reducing the number of deals and reviewing our loyalty benefits - to make our prices clear, transparent and trusted.
Can I use the 10% Gardening and Christmas Discount on Click + Collect items and online?
No, the 10% Diamond Card discount is only available in store on qualifying gardening and Christmas products to buy and take away that day. It cannot be used for Click + Collect or for orders placed online.
Is my current Diamond Club card still valid or do I need a new one?
You can continue using your current Diamond card as normal.
What happens if I’ve lost my Diamond Card?
If you are an existing Diamond Card holder we can replace your card. Diamond cards are no longer available in store so you will need to contact customer services.
You will need to provide your email address (if you have one) and card number (if you know it). We will also need your postal address so we can send you a replacement.
I am not getting vouchers at the moment what do I do?
You might not be registered or are opted out from receiving email marketing communications from us. Click here to either register your card or check your email preferences are set correctly.
I didn’t know the changes were happening, how did you tell Diamond Card customers?
We announced the change on 2 August and emailed or wrote to our registered Diamond Card customers to notify them. Information has also been made available in stores to make customers aware of the change.

I turned 60 on, or after 3 September 2018, can I still apply for a Diamond Card?
From 3 September 2018 you will still be able to join B&Q Club and benefit from member benefits, including email vouchers. However, we will no longer be issuing new Diamond Cards.
All our customers, including existing Diamond Card customers, will benefit from over £100 million B&Q has been investing in stable, low prices.
