I don’t know whether i got a bad model or this is standard but it worked for a bit then when I pointed the torch head up to solder some pipe the flame became 6 inches long and I couldn’t turn the torch off. Overall I would recommend spending an extra 25 pounds on a MAPP gas torch.
Not very well designed

I bought this blow lamp seven months ago because it has an integral ignition system, it worked ok for the first five months but now not working, I think it needs the nozzle cleaning but its possible with this unit as the nozzle is too far back . so now back to using my old gas blow lamp. So make sure you can clean the nozzle before buying a new gas blow lamp.
Worked for me!

Brought this to hot quench and temper some mild steel rods used as anchors on childrens swings. All done by eye and timing but it heated the rods up to a light glow and after quenching reheated them without a problem before air cooling. The ends of the rods are much tougher now. Doubt if a Rothenberger would have done it any better.
Ideal for paint stripping

I used this to strip a steel gate of paint and it did the job easily BUT the information that IS missing is which gas canister to use. This is ideal for the 2350 Propane/Butane Mix Canister. I found this out the hard way, there is no information that tells you this.
Just what I needed.

Bought this to heat up a steering knuckle so I could remove a ball joint. Worked perfectly, the flame is small enough that it can be directed to where I needed it. I particularly liked the self ignition, otherwise I would have to buy a lighter. Attaching the gas cartridge was simplicity itself. Very happy with this purchase :)
