    This new interspecific species Dianthus ‘Rockin Red’ creates an exciting display and provides a bright pop of colour over the summer months, with its alluring dep red blooms which are formed in rounded clusters. With this luxurious-looking Sweet William you also get to enjoy a wonderful spicy fragrance which perfumes the air. Plant this resilient and reliable hardy perennial in pots and borders and you can look forward to a rewarding display every year! Use the clove like tasting petals for adding to cakes, either for flavour or decorating, suitable for soups, salads and sauces too. Pot up Sweet William plug plants and grow them on in frost free conditions for transplanting into borders and containers later on. When all risk of frost has passed, and plugs are fully rooted into their pots, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days. Plant Sweet Williams in beds and borders in fertile, well drained soil in full sun. Feed and water Sweet William plants regularly until they are fully established.
