Product information

Thompson & Morgan was the first plant supplier to introduce Goji Berry super fruits to the UK – and we intend to stay at the forefront! Goji Berry ‘Synthia’ has higher sugar levels than other varieties, giving them an even better taste– but they still offer lots of health benefits as they’re packed full of vitamins and antioxidants. These hardy shrubs are tough and tolerant plants, able to withstand droughts, harsh winds and shade – they can even be grown in tricky coastal gardens! For the best crop yields, we recommend growing against a wall or fence, or training onto a trellis or obelisk. Pot up plants and grow them on in frost free conditions until large enough to plant outside in their final positions. Prior to transplanting them, acclimatise goji berry plants to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days. Plant goji berries in any well drained soil in full sun. When growing goji berries in patio containers use a soil based compost such as John Innes No.3. Water goji berry plants regularly until they are fully established. Once established, they are drought tolerant and cope well in poor soils conditions. Goji plants benefit from some winter protection during their first two years; however with maturity they become increasingly hardy, tolerating temperatures down to -15°C (5°F). Prune goji berries in winter or early spring by removing any damaged or crowded growth and pruning the stems to fit the available space. Product Specifications: Position in: full sun. Height: Up to 200cm. Spread: Up to 200cm. Supplied as 1 x 9cm Pot. Delivered with growing and care instructions. Images shown are for guidance only of the expected results from plants upon maturity.
