Impossible to sassemble
I spent ages trying to find pieces and follow the instructions and eventually through it in th bin,keeping only the hose

Good Reel but requires Self Assembly.
Bought this item and it does require self assembly out of the box...it comes in about nine pieces and is not too difficult for a novice to put together..the two sides of the reel snap together make sure to put the grey plastic piece between them first. It does take a bit of effort to snap the two together so you may need assistance....the winder handle fits either side of the reel just make sure you're sure which side as it is almosyt impossible to remove once it clicks in place. Overall a good quality product.

I am very pleased with this product that I purchased for a 60ft hose pipe. Very neat and easy to move about.

£30 and you have to assemble it yourself!
After years without a hose reel I thought it was about time to treat myself. £30 seemed quite a lot but hey-ho, if it would keep my 50 metre hosepipe tidy and easy to use then it would probably be money well spent. Nowhere on the Hozelock box did it say that the contents required self-assembly. I wouldn't have minded attaching a handle or something but with this you had to assemble EVERYTHING. What a pain in the neck! Made all the more trying because the instruction sheet was just a bunch of small pictures - not at all easy to follow. The two parts of the green central cylinder would not clip together perfectly - no matter how many times I tried. I am surprised that some other reviewers had no complaints about having to do Hozelock's assembly job for them.

It seemed like a good idea at the time
This item is self-assembly, arriving flat pack with an instruction sheet of 9 diagrams. I cannot get past diagram No. 3 so consequently this item is on the floor of my study in pieces and I don't know what to do about it.

A robut reel
It is easily assembled: ideal for my kink-free 50m hose but would doubt whether it would hold much more. Easily wound on and when mounted on the wall, very easily wound on.

The old reel finally bit the dust after many years service, as I already had the hose I just purchased the reel which saved money. It was very simple to assemble and fit to the wall and I found it easy to use. It was definitely a brilliant purchase

Hozelock 2 In 1 Empty Reel Green
Be prepared for a shock! When you open the box you'll discover that the reel is SELF-ASSEMBLY! Now I'm fairly careful when I read website details but at no stage does B&Q actually state that it's self-assembly although I now see that a couple of reviews do mention ease of assembly. B&Q should state clearly in their part of the web page that you have to put the thing together yourself.
